I think current One Piece timeline has a focus problem. Too many things happening at once and Oda making sure to give enough time to all of it in a single chapter is pretty bad. I'm totally not invested as I was in the flashback. Flashback story was simple, focused, and still had many different characters, plots, protagonists etc.

So Elder Jarul was ruling Elbaf since Harald's death? Why the hell Big Mom tried to hook up her daughter with Loki if he was "running away" and had no authority there?

Where the fuck comes from this Usopp's simping towards Elbaf? One little arc and barely any interactions with giants on later arcs? Admiration is one thing but he is being like Sanji towards Giants.
