Do you think the strawhats have surpassed or at least = to the Roger pirates

I don't just mean in strength but also in Noriety, influence, global impact etc etc


Honestly I think yes

You can say that they haven't reached their level of strength yet and hey maybe you're right but remember the strawhats have been sailing for less than 2 years idk if theres an official time line out in the world somewhere but at most a year and a half passed since Luffy first set sail (not counting the two year time skip) and the crew is alreasy a yonko caliber crew with the literal top dogs of the world government after them

Now let's talk about their infamy I think as of now The strawhats aren't has infamous as the Roger pirates because of the whole pirate kings crew thing but I do think Luffy may have surpassed Roger himself, not only is Luffy's bounty more than half of Rogers after less than 2 years of sailing but he is the sun god Nika and joyboys reincarnation pre time skip he was often compared to Roger but once oda stopped comparing him to Roger and started comparing him to joyboy thats when he personally surpassed rogers infamy

Roger pirates might still have strawhats beat in terms of influence

Roger just said oh yeah you want my treasure go find it

And the whole world lost they minds

World impact- Strawhats and this may be by a wide margin

The strawhats have toppled governments, multiple shichibukai, Cp9, lead a campaign that took down not 1 but 2 yonkos and their crews



With all that being said although we don't have the full picture of Rogers journey to give a 100% accurate answer we can infer from context clues that the strawhats likely have surpassed Roger pirates in most categories

Roger Pirates conducted their Pirate Activity all over the World, for many Years, during Legendary Garp Era,
They didn't just make it to International News, They made it to Local News Everywhere,
So No, SHs aren't even Close to Roger Pirates Achievement, nor any other Pirate Crew,

Reckon they'd be on par strength wise by the time Elbaf reaches it's conclusion or at the very least that's the direction I think the narrative is leaning towards.


Benchmark Oda seems to have set for Luffy this arc is Shanks who was Roger's successor and is probably the strongest Haki user in the series save Joyboy and Imu. How Shanks compares to Roger PL wise is still up for debate but he certainly is not getting any less Haki glaze than Roger did. Whereas for the Zoro and Sanji the benchmark Oda seems to have set is to become wings strong enough to support Luffy come hell high water so their bench mark is Ray and Gaban.

Can't really speak on the other SHs to be honest but hope they can also make strides this arc. I know Franky defo will just not sure about the others.

Notorierity-wise, probably not until Luffy trumps everyone else and becomes the PK but I'm certain that if we compare PK Luffy's crew's resume to the Roger Pirates when all is said it done it will blow the latter's out the water.

No. Both power level wise as well as influence wise Roger pirates are much ahead.

Roger pirates had 3 solid top tiers. SHPs have one that too with a time limit.

SHs pirates will surpass Roger pirates when Luffy becomes PK in influence.

As for power it depends what Luffy does in elbaph. Roger is fodder to imu gunko. So Luffy may surpass Roger by huge margin depending on his feats against imu gunko.

It's true that the SHs did all that, but it's ALWAYS mostly because of ridiculous luck (plot armor) + powerful allies. The Shs, except for Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Jinbe, are a bunch of hakiless fodders and bums. Isopod has coo, but is the worst bum of all. It's sad, but I think they will be carried to the end by luck and powerful allies.
