Start of the fight King was doing the most efficient thing and using his aeriel advantage well and threw zoro off the island which was the simplest method to dispose of zoro, which showed king was smart and intelligent enough to use his advantage. As the fight dragged on, oda dumbed him down to give zoro his mickey win.
Its also implied by the editors note that zoro can kill dragons in one hit, it's doesn't mean that now zoro can somehow oneshot Kaido. Unless zoro was shown on panel to hurt flame on King, that statement means jackshit.
