I mean Flower and I found like Michelle, Cake, Saka, Cata, and York day 1. But back then we tried not to piss off scum. That doesnt change the fact that I fucked up the mid to end game, apologies.

i want to first remind you that you guys were indies, not town. the part on your wincon that stops you from winning with akatsuki is intentional so you do not purely scum side as there are already too many mafia in the game and if your team scum sides from day 1 or so the game can become unplayable for town

however, you arent fully pro-town either as i'll explain below:

- the first way you can try to win this game is by keeping galaxy alive long enough until all akatsuki die. to do this, outing that galaxy is a jinchuriki is a MUST NOT DO type thing.

- the moment u outed that galaxy is a jinchukiri, you have to accept that you'll never be able to perma protect him, as that makes it impossible for akatsuki to win. his days were essentially numbered, which means u had to play to make the other players in your team kage. this means you gotta use your kills or poisons on hayumi, jan and/or alwaysmind, michelle

it's intentional that most of them are town, this is to remind you that you are not entirely town, you are indie. your wincon is certainty harder than town, that's part of the challenge. mafia do not have many killshots in the early game which should help you survive longer, provided you play it slower and not aggro too many town/scum

the ranking up rewards players playing townie. this is also intentional so u dont get to just claim indie and coast it out. u gotta prove your worth to be ranked up, which eventually you guys did

ultimately what delayed your wincon is using kills on players that are neither mafia nor AM/hayumi/jan/michelle. ideally i expect the indies to try and make up something to provoke visits on them by those players, then kill them with fuji's RAMENgan or galaxy's poison.
 
I'm just going to live with the fact that Flower is going to discredit all the work I put in no matter what when I joined this site just because they told me to join and I joined this game to play with them and then worked my ass off to bring this back for my team. No matter what I do I'll never get the respect of anyone for my scum play so it is what it is. Makes me not want to play another game ngl.

Our wincon was full of contradictions Ekko. Its okay though.
 
I used to play a simple format of the wolf game
Say 10-15 town, 3 wolves
Town had seer and protector (can add one more minor role). Rest were simply town.
Wolf leader was seer immune
No bullshit claiming, no wack potentially unbalanced power, just pure threadplay
Now wouldn't that make a great game @Fujishiro @Lord Melkor
How DM use to be, 3 wolfs with 2kp till 2. Nerfed medic, parity cop rest was VT.
 
Like town had decidedly more town sided things like having 4+ confirmed town in the first day and a half, reviving 2 confirmed town late game among a plethora of other things. Yet I did everything I could for my team to turn it around, boosting them up in scum chat when everyone was getting down and keeping the spirits high. Fuck this.

Uh no. With such a wincon you can’t ever scum side. If you wanted us to be Indies you just let us win with either faction and make the Kages before us Town so we have to Town side enough to get promoted. This here was just Town with additional baggage. And Shanks just getting outed wasn’t our fault either. We had to do that to ensure he could maybe get protected when he was pushed because there was no way for us at the time.

So I don’t know what we should have done differently. We even survived with one of us being Kage and only got fucked over by a bastard element. I say we played it well with what we had to do.

i think town played better than mafia in fairness for majority of the game. most of mafia were LHFs and hardly could defend themselves from the truck of towniness in the early game

but having the win being attributed to a strong claim is lame and takes away from what power and shuijin did in the late game. they played their parts well even with that advantage

i thought the amount of clues to find power were enough but requires some connecting the dots. i don't think speed lynching for 4-5 days was the play

many players got close to solving pieces of the puzzle by pointing out contradictions about power, namely how power got sealed in cycle 6 when he said he will hide himself (and AM, hayumi flipped town), the deal with cake promoting daniel after talking to power in the night 1 higher-ups chat, the sudden disappearance of poisons when power got partial sealed, the name of his jinchuriki being outed as "poison beetle", RA being magically healed when power was the only claimed and non-flipped poison healer, as none of the flipped mafia had poison heals.

also shuijing's redacted hidden passive hints that killing the akatsuki leader can happen before sealing something into shuijing. this is the exact passive:

(Day/Night) [Six Paths - I'll take it from here...] - Should you notice that the Akatsuki's Leader is wavering or slowing down the plan due to being a Jinchuriki himself, you may elect to take matters into your own hands and activate this ability at any time to stab him in the back for the sake of the faction and your family. This will immediately extract his Bijuu into the Gedo Mazo, killing him, and if the Akatsuki Leader's Bijuu was the last one left alive, you will automatically summon the Juubi and immediately seal it in your body, forcefully becoming the first Juubi Jinchuriki and shortening the Mugen Tsukuyomi plan by up to 1 cycle. If you become the Juubi Jinchuriki this way, your new role will become unstable for the first cycle as you get used to your new Juubi powers. Works once.

trusted the mech and didn’t question that a lynchpin role in a lynchpin game could be scum I guess?

Overall still very proud of my play. I iso’ed and clocked Daniel and Shui literally on the exact same day as each other even before the promotion outing so I feel I did a good job finding the scum that weren’t as obvious.

Wish we would have given more thought to a Yohoe or Polar alternative but when you suggest a direction and over half the thread isn’t going for it there’s only so much you can do. Probable wouldn’t have changed this outcome, and hindsight is always 20/20 vision but you live and learn.
