There must be a way for non conquerors and weak characters to stall or down Regen merchants.
Loki used his Df against Harald to damage him first and slowed his Regen making Harald to come to his senses so that he could hold back for Loki's final atttack and previous chapter gyaban didn't counter Goldberg suggestions of (eating, crushing, traping them) the Regen merchants to down them. Gyaban could have said you can't put them down with those means.
I think Sanji will get another Germa science thing or vegapunk science thing that will work against the Regen merchants.

We were lied to about those things because everything we were told about Loki was wrong. That’s the whole point of his character, people believe incorrect information about him.

Well, what´s your argument? Did we have any reason to think any of those things were false before we saw them actually happen in a flashback? Same thing applies here, we only saw the first half of Loki´s life, we´ll likely see the rest at the end of the arc, and the pattern could continue, that what we heard was a twist of the truth.

The point of them lying about Loki murdering Harald and harassing Elbaf was because Oda wanted to mislead the readers into believing Loki was a bad person so that they would be surprised when the truth came out (even though everyone and their mom guessed that Loki would actually be good). What would be accomplished by lying about Shanks beating Loki solo? Why would be a valid in-verse or out of verse reason for Oda and the characters to cover up the RHPs jumping Loki or poisoning him or whatever?
