Your Shanks seething is making you look dumber then your Vergo hate, and that´s honestly shocking. There´s actually so much wrong with this post it´s insane.
1. The meta reason Oda originally decided to design Shanks in a certain way in 1997 obviously has little to do with the possible story connotations in 2026, when we know way more about Shanks. For example, the reason Oda got rid of Shanks´s arm in 1997(because of his editors) is obviously not the same connotations that scene has today for obvious reasons.
2. The post you linked assumes that Garling has red hair, which we know is probably not true now, since the anime and Colored manga(while neither are to be taken too seriously, the combo should be enough for now) both show him as blonde, which is what´s being discussed. Shanks and Shamrock both being red haired possibly implies some deeper connection to the ancient world, with Shanks being called the ¨Child of Destiny¨ by Gaban.

Part 2 Naruto is just next level pathetic. You can´t even say it´s about natural talent vs hard work, Sasuke literally just trained harder than him over the timeskip, and earned his place in the series at about a tier higher than Naruto. And let´s not even get started on how impotent and pathetic he is over the first half of it, just being completely reactionary to Sasuke and other characters, getting his teamates in near death situations because of how emotional he is, and contributing very little to make up for it. Yeah, it´s endearing at first that Naruto wants to save Sasuke, but after the third poorly defined mission, it just becomes pathetic, and is honestly a bad look on Tsunade and Jiraiya for even humoring it.
Meanwhile, first half of Ship, Sasuke is treated as a serious player by the likes of Obito, Orochimaru, Deidara, Danzo, even Pain. They all see Naruto as just some kid in comparison.

I'm not sure why you're blaming me, because in the slim chance that Shanks does have a special lineage tied to his hair (he doesn't, but, this is a hypothetical), that just means Oda is a shitty writer tbh. Why anyone is supposed to believe Shanks is special because of his hair when most characters have a goofy hair color is beyond me.
With other lineages, he has a very specific and special thing(s) that set them apart from other people.
Ds always smile when they die and are seen as "the enemy of the gods".
Buccaneers are far taller and bulkier than the average human or even Fishman or Mink for example.
Fishmen.. Are fishmen.
Minks are animal people, Lunarians have wings, white hair, and a flame on their back.
Etc.

They´re arguing his mother who had Shanks´s hair has a special lineage, and that´s why Garling had kids with her when he wanted to marry Shakky anyway. The hair isn´t *literally* important, it´s asthetically important, and manga is a visual medium.
Again, how are you not understanding that no one is arguing Shanks has special powers tied to his hair......
They´re arguing his mother who had Shanks´s hair has a special lineage, and that´s why Garling had kids with her when he wanted to marry Shakky anyway. The hair isn´t *literally* important, it´s asthetically important, and manga is a visual medium.
That mission was just fucking retarded, and the craziest part about it is there was just no self reflection in the slightest. They do another wild goose chase mission for Sasuke, again like 2 arcs later....
Sure, Nardo at that point literally believed that there was no situation where Sasuke couldn´t be brought back by repeatedly asking him, but all the adults, lol?
The only good part about that arc was Orochimaru fighting the 4 tails. That shit was cool as hell

As a spinoff, I think Root gives more options for a full story. You could do missions every arc etc, have characters growing in power through them, moral dilemas etc. Orochimaru and Sasori would be more limited but imo would be fun as well.
I think they should just do Orochimaru the movie(or a light novel, I guess). There´s actually a lot left ambigious about his life, so there´s a lot of opportunity, imo.
