Vivi will come to Elbaf believers; There was a special cover of her shown with a Squirrel. But this one looks more like the old Ratatoskr version than the current one. At least the stripe pattern is the same.

Maybe the Nefetari family had a connection to Elbaf back in the day ? (I know, just speculation)

:josad:

A still conscious Sommers have his thorn ability undone feels weird here. Maybe he was unconscious for just a split second and it's enough to do it. Why even make Sanji destroys Robin's thorn if a moment later Luffy undo his ability.
That Loki stomps Sommers panel feels like Sommers is dead, but I think Sommers isn't dead yet because there isn't a Imu huffing panel.

There are a lot of reaction panels that don't feel coherent.
The children finally see the real Nika form and Nidhogg saved them. I wonder will this stop the nightmare from recreated as this will help the situation a lot so Loki and Luffy can focus on Imu.

I was a bit shocked that God of War's horns look just like Jarul/Jorul and not Harald/Loki. Maybe Harald was a bit of an anomaly. However, all of them still don't match the horns of the dragon on the mural. Likely GoW's Nidhogg isn't in the mural, the Nidhogg on mural is most likely from the first world as it fought with the flame serpent of that time. Coincidently, Kaido the ambitious war monger's turf Onigashima has that type of horns. Seems to me Kaido knows a lot about the giant's history and trying to recreate it. The island skull could be a real ancient giant skull which is then permanently enlarged by devil fruit power along with the huge sword next to it. I'm talking about San Juan Wolf's power as he is the first giant in the story shown with devil fruit power. Sometime in the past a member of GoW also ate that devil fruit and further enlarge him to even bigger size.

Rotatoskr is a little different as if it was a different species of squirrel that ate the same devil fruit as the current one. Similar to different type of ancient giant eating the Nidhogg devil fruit which give them different horns. Maybe it was a squirrel ate a mythical squirrel devil fruit, that's why the ears were different. Let me see, it could be like this, after the user consumes the devil fruit, the devil fruit spirit is fused into the user's soul, and the user's soul is part of the devil fruit spirit when it left the body. I could be wrong about this but this looks like most logical reasoning to me. So current Ragnir is the Rotatoskr from the past that became immortal and retain the memory of the past by possessing the hammer. Like I said I could be wrong as we haven't seen other zoans did anything like this in the story.

Nika is black, yea so we saw Luffy looks black while grabbing lightning due to over brightness on one side that create a dark shade on other side. Similar attack were used when Luffy fought Kaido except his hair doesn't have that much shades compare to this one.
However, Luffy doesn't look like a warrior like the stereotypical image of Nika look to be with that sword and shield. Anyway, This could be just Jarul doesn't know what Nika looks like.

Base on Imu's reaction, it seems like he had a conflict with Nidhogg at the past, possibly on the second world.

Imu also stopped possessing Gunko and we see him on the flower room. Seems like Imu has something in prepared for revenge on Nidhogg. If Imu decides to fight Nidhogg himself on his real body, that's good which means Luffy and Loki aren't going to 'beat a woman'. But this makes Brook less significant in the fight, but I doubt Brook's story will just end like this. However, I would like to see Imu's full power as his forces look weak against Loki and the monster trio. Hopefully some Imu do some sht next chapter.

To be fair, Imu already knew Luffy was Nika/Joyboy. He didn't know about Nidhogg being in Elbaf, though.
You know, this is a thing I just recently talked about with someone

Emeth and Zunesha heard the drums and thought Joyboy was there

Zunesha never saw Luffy and thought Joyboy was there

Emeth thought Joyboy was there, met Luffy, and said Luffy isn't Joyboy, Gear 5 just looks like him

Question is though, why did Zunesha think Joyboy returned?

It means in her mind, Joyboy returning, even though she's been walking since his time, is a possibility.

So if Zunesha knows what she's talking about, a potential return of the Joyboy from 800 years ago is possible.

So it could happen like what I mentioned, Joyboy appears and he is the one who fights Imu.

I take it as
Zunesha was thinking of Joyboy "the title", not Joyboy "the person". I imagine Joyboy isn't the man's actual name, as even for this manga, that'd be a little silly. Oda still tries to give the characters actual names for the most part, and "Joyboy" sounds like it's directly connected to his powers, which means he couldn't have just had that name from birth, as he gained the powers through the fruit. So yeah, two different Joyboys, in a way.
Emeth, as seen through his flashback, knows Joyboy "the person". So when he saw Luffy, he knew that he's inherited the title of Joyboy, but he is not literally the same person as the "original" Joyboy.
Joyboy, as in the actual person and the guy who was seemingly the first to ever eat the Nika fruit, is long dead. Everything hints towards him being long dead, with him having been killed off by Imu or one of Imu's henchmen in a war.
Besides, Luffy's not going to have someone else win this fight for him. He'll be the one to bring Imu down to his knees, as that's how the prophesy (and just how basic Shonen narrative) goes.

Yeah but you know

There's the narrative of a holding back Imu dealing with attacks from 6 top tiers

And the yami fruit looks like an inverted version of the Nika fruit

So it could be, Blackbeard's fruit is a zoan of Imu, like Luffy's fruit is a zoan of Nika

Luffy fights Blackbeard, and on the grander scale Nika fights Imu

It's been more hinted that Blackbeard will probably sneak attack and kill Imu than anything else, though

Interesting thoughts, I would like to see something impressive from Imu on Elbaph to maintain tension for his final fight. Maybe indeed using Domi Reversi on Loki?

I do not see a reason why current Luffy needs to have exactly the same fighting style as original Nika or Joyboy. He is not sword user, never was.

I personally don't think that would be the case, DR Loki would be a boring and cheap way to conclude the conflict

I wonder why Blackbeard never seemed to target Lokis fruit. It was known to xebec and likely Xebec told his mother, so I wonder why Blackbeard either didn’t know about Lokis fruit or didn’t want it.
A) he doesn't know;

B) he knows Loki has It somehow;

C) Xebec had a special relationship with Harald and wanted Harald to eat It (super strong ancient giant and all). Maybe Teach simply couldn't do anything with the fruit because he didn't know a viable candidate.
