Anime Discussion Modern anime its just not for me

Damn modern anime hurts man. You get all this wonderful visuals, VA, cool music, epic explosions but at what cost? This huge production work takes so much time and money to produce that its just painful to think about, there 12-24 episodes per year? That's like a day or two to binge watch then it's all over and you need to wait another year.

Just give me back low-mid animation like Naruto/HxH and some filler episodes but imagine having an episode every single week for years. Slice of life meaningless episodes are welcome too, boring training arcs, funny shots where the animation distorts space and all that.

JJK is peak and I have nothing but respect for the insane effort put into the production. But it's a bit painful to think that we'll likely wait until 2028 to see the whole manga animated, and we're talking about maybe 40 episodes left after this season.

Thats better than the creepy fillers and not logical ideas of the animators.
JJK is peak also because the anime is a masterpiece

That Pierrot format will never come back again.

And honestly, the current format of12 Episodes + Movies is simply much better overall.
Better animation, better storytelling ( no fillers )...

if 24 episodes take you 2 days to binge, then 48 episodes (the so called year round release with episodes every week) should only take you 4 weeks to binge...
