You hit the nail right on the head. I would add that in terms of combat strength Zoro has always been closer to Luffy than Sanji, an always will be.

If that was true then Sanji would’ve been on the Onigashima rooftop with Luffy and Zoro. He was left behind cause he just isnt in the same league as them.
