It's not really dumb. Maybe it won't happen buts it's the only path to victory for Imu. Currently he is outclassed like Crazy. I mean one of his soldiers was already defeated in a one shot. If Sanji can't out Kili down Luffy will just step up and shot him too. Plus the duo giant captain he was controlling have recovered the remaining ones are kinda fodder compared to the Dorry/Broggy/Zoro led forces.
