I am still amazed that it came to be lol

Half of that was fandom always going for some crazy theory (Kaido hadn't shown the hybrid during his previous off-screen fights --> he doesn't have it), and the other half was Oden's agenda. Oden being KOed without Kaido ever using the hybrid was used against him, so.
