Speculations Would you be disappointed if Blackbeard never got a 3rd fruit or any other power up

Okay, picture this, Imu is gone. The only thing left is Blackbeard, but none of the wild theories are true about him.

1. He doesn't get a 3rd fruit
- People said this because they wanted him to have the strongest of every fruit. The peak fruit of paramecia, logia, and zoan.

2. He doesn't "summon" Xebec and Davy Jones from inside his body.
- This is actually the next step of the "Blackbeard ate two of his brothers when he was in the womb" idea that started years ago, except now there's no unnamed characters involved, but instead Xebec and Davy Jones are used in place of the brothers.

I think that's basically all anybody thought he could do lol... which is kind of sad.

Well, the third DF theory is one of the oldest about him, now.

I wouldn't be disappointed, though. With awakening, Oda has already opened up a whole new level of fruit power so double awakening BB would already be as fearsome as he can get. Doesn't need a zoan to be more than that.

Honestly, I will be disappointed because he looks underwhelming comparing to the God tiers and he was still searching for more devil fruits. However, I'm not worrying one bit because he has been cemented as one of the final villain. Oda also implicitly gassing him up from the God Valley flash back. Yeah I'm pretty confident on the 3rd fruit theory.

Not really sure about the Xebec and Davy Jones living inside his body, feel like a bit of stretch tbh. I'm ok if that doesn't come true.

Pretty obvious Blackbeard 3rd DF will be Imu God like one. He'll also take the Aybss powers for himself too. I wouldn't be surprised when Blackbeard forms contracts with his crew they'll also be able to eat 3 DFs.

He has so much relevance to the number 3 it feel so awkward if he didn’t have a third power but also I can’t picture him picking up one so late in the game, i’m more inclined to think his first fruit was a zoan that allowed his body to consume more fruits, while the yami’s purpose is to shut down fruits and make people vulnerable, even to steal powers.

No, because I’ve always felt that a 3rd fruit would mostly just be pointless. Besides making him look visually different there’s not much else a 3rd fruit would do for him to make it all that different from just having 2 fruits.

The only point would be if it added some sort of hax, but then that would just make it another gimmick fight.

Currently I am convinced that Blackbeard can‘t obtain a third fruit. I recently saw a theory where it is basically said that Blackbeard‘s soul has the Yomi Yomi No Mi and his shadow has the Gura Gura No Mi.

It was explained that we learned from Gecko Moria a lot about shadows and how they work and stuff. It seems that every shadow has it‘s own soul. That‘s why Blackbeard was covered in total darkness when he was doing his thing with Whitebeard.

So there can‘t be a shadow casted when there is no light. Which should mean he himself was completely his shadow and with his Yomi Yomi No Mi he was able to catch Whitebeard‘s fruit as he died and the devil fruit got out to seek it‘s nearest fitting fruit.

All in all Blackbeard‘s body has one fruit and his shadow has the other fruit. And we learned from Gecko Moria that shadows are 100% binded to it‘s body and they are forced to act and make the same movement as the body.

I think the theory that he absorbed his twin or something like that is a little bit too far fetched. Devil Fruits need a host with a soul they can occupy, period. When you have a shadow with it‘s own soul, it sounds plausible. Even the Gorosei never heard of someone to possess two Devil Fruits so I think Blackbeard truly is a genius and found a „glitch“.
