Naomi is in my POE because I read through her ISO and was left unconvinced they were town. I have a higher bar for calling ppl who have deceived me before as wolf to call them town.

her being widely tr’d is why I didn’t target her with something worse. Cuz I have been wrong before, but I for the life of me failed to tr Naomi in my ISO’ing.

Also for the last question I don’t think I’m understanding. Were you thinking I was trying to be like “hey Naomi look at how townie I am by full-claiming the Pokémon you submitted” followed by “oh no I failed so now Naomi is POE forever”?

To answer the last part first, yes my accusation is that you offering to claim your role came across to me as trying to appease her. And I get the feeling that your PoE read on her is pretty flimsy and with rather tenuous justification. So putting those two things together, I ask myself "could the PoE read and refusal to really develop that position be an attempt to downplay the idea that he was trying to appease her originally". Which is where we are now.

The second part isn't really an answer. How is your position evolving as a result of your action? You claim that's why she was targeted, but the reason behind using the action itself is missing? If I've missed it being explained then please point me to it.

For the last part I guess I'm struggling to see how you could have been deceived so strongly as for it to leave a lasting impression, such that you can see Naomi hyperpost and not come away with "hmm probably town".

Yeah and I'm saying I don't think it's even remotely accurate. I'm not going to claim I've never ever misread you or scum read you when you were town because that would be silly, but I definitely know it wasn't to the frequency where you can (or should) reasonably be expecting me to be scum reading you when you're town. If I'm feeling charitable then the only real explanation I can see for this from you is that being misread has a far deeper impression on you than being correctly read, so much so that you would almost completely ignore the existence of all the other times I've correctly read you to expect to be scum read.

It's one you're going to need to go back to the drawing board on I'm afraid because it's just wrong. That's the politest way I can put it.

Usually you're a player I always struggle in correctly town reading and it takes a while for me to eventually realize you are town. I'll let you catch up.

Not sure if you’ve caught up with my posts but I essentially feel the exact same and had similar conclusion. What do you find from him in his ISO that you like, anything in particular?

Are you pinged enough by him that I can interest in you in lending a vote that direction for now with me or is it not to that level?

1st question - nothing particular, that's not how I read him either. It was the general vibe of his posts and his questions and his thoughts felt original enough to be just barely passing the smell test.

I'm not particularly against voting him. Not sure I want to go all the way to lynching him but that's mostly because outside of what I've given I don't have a strong feeling on his slot. I feel more bugged than not so sure I can support it.

To answer the last question, I'm not buying anything Crying bc no Cryo is selling at the moment, can't really advertise it as a great must have lynch because a lot of people town read the slot too but I'm struggling to get there. Otherwise I dunno, maybe someone like Rej or Pot who simply aren't playing close to good enough. Would definitely want claims first though.

Not something I expect from her as scum and also not very surprising to see her jump at the chance to put me under pressure so I'm okay with it as far as her alignment goes. I haven't read the specifics or why.

You'll be waiting a while for me to catch up. Also I don't really mind you not commiting to any read on me yet, I do think I've given readable content but I can't complain about someone exercising caution. I'm mostly just pushing back on the reasoning you gave, which I don't think is accurate.

Idk I really don’t go into a mafia game as mafia and say “lemme make this super risky pocket play and then POE them if it fails”. I have neither the foresight nor the balls to make that play. Like my mafia games have 0 strategy D1

Is it super risky? I don't agree with that assessment. I think offering to claim to someone is one of the lowest consequence things you could do actually, given that it's not really going to have you look down the line, unlike most other pocket plays.

"Targeted Naomi because she was in my PoE" isn't explaining exactly how you were hoping this usage would improve or develop your reads.

I'm going to move this on though, as I said there isn't really much value in you just responding to these poi ts over and over. Especially if you're not going to even really address them. Would much rather see you making yourself clearly town and I have a feeling you're going to struggle doing that if we keep going back and forth. At the risk of sounding very arrogant, it feels like I'm shooting fish in a barrel at the moment.

That's not a slip Naomi it's just him grouping himself with TheAverageGuy in the context of your scum reads which is fair given that you scum read them both.
