General & Others Do you consider Zoro to be creative in his fights?

When people talk about the lack of creativity in the fights since the Timeskip seem to be more talking about Luffy and his fights. But if you look at Zoro and all his fights, do consider him to be creative when he is fighting? or is he more purely a swordsmen?

He's a very creative fighter that has more techniques than just about any other character, a lot of different styles, and different variations to his moves. He's an all-ranged fighter that can literally use his swords to fly through the air and perform cutting attacks to shockwave attacks. He can perform rotating, spinning and speed base attacks.

No, he's definitely not creative.

His "creativity" comes from taking spiritual forms and adding them to his swordsmanship. He takes forms like the gorilla, the tiger, the dragon, etc.
- The single way you can call him creative is within the swordsmanship world because he dares to use an unheard of three-sword style, but all of the moves are still traditional swordsmanship with a slight supernatural element to them.

If you want to compare him to someone even less creative, though, Sanji basically only uses different forms of kicks.

Yeah, he's not even tactically surprising. Recently, he explained he had a great plan, but all he did was just jump on people's heads 👍

Naruto was tactically surprising, he dug a hole under Neji when he was supposed to lose because he wasn't a "genius".

If Zoro could do something like that instead of stuff like carrying Usopp and calling him a sword then I'd be more impressed, but he's a pretty straight-forward guy, so I'm not sure he'd ever do something sneaky that requires thought.

I think he peaked on that front with ranged attacks in Skypiea.

Creativity doesn’t really win him fights, it’s usually grit.

Luffy, Robin and Franky are the most creative Strawhats.

Nami and Usopp used to be a part of that before their abilities and tactics became more simplified.

I suppose Brook is pretty creative too. He has his music and elemental techniques, as well as psychological warfare. :suresure:

The biggest loss in creativity is Usopp. He used to be resourceful and funny. Usopp Voodoo and the fake 10 ton hammer are still one of my favourite scenes. The Dials disappearing is a real shame. He also had solid moments of collaboration that don’t happen anymore.
