Also... perhaps some of you didn't notice but we got this today:

This is what I call a subversive affirmation, some of you might remember that term. It's an affirmation from a character corrupted by the premisse of a plot situation and a character's development. In the current situation, it's the overpowering power of Imu and the unseriousness of the crew.

Let me give you another info: The entire arc of Franky is - like Usopp - centered around pride. We are on an arc where the concept of pride is not only central thematically, but directly impacting the choices of the character. From Usopp this chapter the giants or Loki.

This is not a glitch that Oda decided to give Franky this line. This is a subtle warning. A sign of dangerous overconfidence.

The situation is about to go south.
Tbh, I don't completely disagree, but the situation going south will probably be underwhelming as well.

As well ? I don't see anything underwhelming here. On the contrary. The pieces are moving in the right direction
:shocking:

An amazing moment for Zoro
An hilarious moment for Luffy
A very strange yet interesting moment for Chopper
The confirmation of what I was explaining about the power of Imu and its gamble through Kashi
The defeat of Brook and Usopp and a battle incoming.

That's quite a loaded chapter.

Btw can you explain to me how them tying up Killingham’s body parts with ropes prevented his head from regenerating? Since everything we’ve seen before suggests the HKs regen by regrowing lost body parts, rather than reassembling them?

Probably the worst chapter in a really long time. Boring, useless, uninspired. I don't even understand why he had to ridicule the HK strength so much. Now all strawhats (except Brook) have no purpose unless Sommers and Killingham come back stronger than ever. Wouldn't it have been better if they were stronger to begin with?
We've told you, plenty of hints before, now it's time to come to terms with them being called the Holy Roppo for a reason :CoolPeace:

@soupongo Jinbe said that Loki’s as big as a Sea King. Crazy Loki downscale, definitely not as big as the Juubi
Oda wants Loki to ultimately fight Shamrock at some point.

He's not going to be actually the size of Elbaf, or a continent buster. Meanwhile, the ten tails was an unprecedented *global* threat. There's just no comparison to be had.

The global threats in the OP verse are like technology stuff

Idk what you like about any of this. Maybe I can grant Usopp and Choper? The Luffy and Zoro stuff is awful though, and DR is the biggest filler plot I've seen in the manga, since Oda is being completely arbitrary who can get DR'd, as far as we know, and there's not even a real cost of death or anything.

Imu is just objectively the worst arc villain Oda has ever done. He has no real personality or even aura

Shamrock could be the Hellfire Serpent though tbf

All that it would need is like one panel of him fighting Zoan Loki in base to make the claims of his size being Jubi level to look really goofy.

Plus, I'm not pretending that Shamrock and every new character is continent level. Oda already set the peak of the DC in the OP world as GV. Very few characters scale above that

imu has already displayed too much of his powers. some of his abilties have to be saved for the final fight against luffy at the end of the series. so it is about time for him to go back to maryjoa. maybe shanks/bb arrive soon, to trigger a retreata in imu. nidhogg, nika AND the son of rocks AND garling's traitor son, even imu cannot fight them all alone.
