He's insanely retarded if he does that now...that would be more of the same, it's not gonna help Luffy's popularity anymore than it's doing rn. Since that is already the formula (Luffy getting far more focus than the rest). What he needs to do is tone down the G5 stuff. And let Luffy get back to a more mature tone.

Notice how once Sanji's pervert gags got toned down in a major way by Oda, he's gotten to be a more serious character with some fighting focus too and he jumped in popularity.

What he can do now is sabotage Sanji and Zoro more, not just by stealing panel time since that has already been going on since the timeskip.
