Well, let's see what Oda's had to say on the subject in the past.

https://thelibraryofohara.com/2020/11/24/when-did-oda-say-one-piece-will-end-with-official-sources/

The Whole Cake Island Arc began with Chapter 825, which Oda said was the 70% mark. Which would put the ending somewhere around Chapter 1178…so that didn’t happen.

The Wano Arc began with Chapter 909, which Oda said was the 80% mark. Which would put the ending somewhere around Chapter 1136…so Oda got even WORSE about predicting when he’d finish.

Personally, trying to do some math, I've decided that my personal best guess is that Oda will end the series around Chapter 1254, putting us at a nice, round 122 volumes. Which should happen in mid November of 2028. (If I'm within 6 months of this either way, I'm calling this a win.)

That puts us currently at about 94% complete as of Chapter 1178. Only 76 Chapters left! I know that seems unlikely, as it's about one arc's length. But, it's my best guess, so I might as well stick to it.

I mean, we already seem to be dealing with Imu right now in Elbaph. We might not have as much left to the story as some people think.

I really think Oda's going to start speedrunning through some of these plot beats, soon. His health is getting worse. He's already written down what he plans to do and dropped it into the ocean. He's ready to draw that legendary final page. So, I think it's coming sooner rather than later. Oda seems ready to end Elbaph and move on to whatever's next. And we're slowly running out of islands that we need to visit. Laugh Tale can't be too far off. But, we'll see.

To me there’s a difference between how much of the story is left and how much time it will take in real life time.

I think One Piece will easily continue for another 10 years (given Oda's still alive), even though only about 80-85% of the story is complete.

I say 80ish, theres a decent amount of story to resolve, we don’t have the last poneglyph, we aren’t at laugh tale, haven’t dealt with the marines, theres three yonko crews to deal with somehow, we need to learn about void century, cover the strawhat dreams, defeat the celestial dragons, and tie up any other significant loose ends before concluding. Idek if five years will cover all that but its possible if we rush.

Seems like we're indeed moving to the final parts of OP, but I'd say it's still about 80-85%. Which could give us from 5 to 10 more years easily. Now, it seems like a nice round number of 1500 would look great, but based on other mangas, hitting even numbers isn't that popular, so while I still believe anywhere around 1500 seems possible, it may be either 1486 or 1503, or something like that.

Unfortunately, I don't think that Oda will resolve everything, sure, Luffy will become the Pirate King, and will find One Piece, also destroying the current WG with his allies in process, but.... No guarantees for void century to be fully revealed, or other things like that. So I don't hype my hopes up.
