It's Oda's usual subverting expectation shtick striking again. He first shows you how Saturn and Sommers regenerate from nothing or at least telenetically reattach their limbs to heal, but then later retcons the shit out of it and makes it that they actually need to manually reattach said limbs to heal, ie Sommers this chapter and Killingham last chapter. It's infuriating that's what it is.

In relation to CoC coating, all we know for now is that it causes extreme pain for the HK and halts their healing for a little while, and possibly kills them if it's too strong for them.

As for Sanji, he is almost guaranteed to unlock anytime now, but I personally don't think he used it against Killingham

it literally isn’t a retcon though. Imunko used regrowth that very same chapter.

Sanji did something Usopp didn’t. Take a guess.

Sanji bypassed immortality and prevented Qilingham from regenerating. Just like Luffy and Gaban.

Usopp couldn’t do this. It was ACoC.

It is also possible this is not a retcon and Killingham is faking it to take them by surprise. If he realized MMAs were too weak to defeat the strawhats, he might be waiting for an opportunity to summon something much stronger while making sure that no ACoC user hunts him down.

And as @Albino 👑 said in the spoiler thread, unconscious Brook and Usopp are right beside him now. I imagine nightmares from the soon-to-be PK's crew would be much stronger than those of giant children

Apart from Qilingham, the only time a HK has been incapacitated like this was by an ACoC user.

Sanji used ACoC and Oda is just yet to reveal it.

Even Ju Peter, who was decapitated, healed quicker. Qilingham is basically like Sommers, where he is no longer regenerating and can at best reconnect his body. And Sommers was hit by Luffy’s ACoC attack.
