Controversial What happened to the whole Lola Loki thing

Didn't we have this question appear like 3 times before?
My bet is that Loki was never interested in Lola, but someone else from giant tribe could've been, and there was some sort of misunderstanding because of it.

Unless asked directly in SBS, guess we'll never know. Anyways, Lola is happily married and I don't see any additional drama incoming on that front.

At this point, I'm not expecting any huge revelations to come from it. If Loki gets to chatting with the other Strawhats during this quiet time in Elbaph, maybe it'll come up. But, I think it'll only be explored for maybe one chapter, max. This feels like something that could probably be covered in a montage. Oda might have Nami or someone bring it up in the next few chapters.

Although, if it does come up, I feel like Oda's going to have to twist things around a bit to make that old version of Loki line up in any way with our current version of Loki. They feel like such different characters.

In my head, I imagine that Loki was travelling around the world, trying to get the old Rocks Pirates to reform under him as their new leader. Trying to get the band back together. But, they all rejected him one by one. By the time he got to Big Mom, he might have been desperate enough to try anything, just so this entire journey wasn't a total bust. So he tried to seduce one of Big Mom's daughters, just so Big Mom would at least kind of join up with him. When he realized Lola ran away rather than marry him, that was probably the last straw, and he just gave up on getting the Rocks Pirates back together again. It's possible that he really didn't care about Lola, he just wanted to use her to get Big Mom to join with him. The other giants who were cheering him on in the original flashback might have just been the members of his crew putting on a act.

But, we'll see. Oda might have some plan for this that could surprise us.

Unless they ask how well-endowed Loki is, there's not that much chance to get an answer
nah I firmly believe the Lola thing will get addressed eventually.

Like it's clear he had a completely different vision of what he wanted Loki to be prior to his debut and then he sort of wrote himself into a corner. He'll say something about it. Even if it's a joke response lmao

But does Lola need to be back? She's happily married and reunited with her family. I don't see a point. Pudding has a higher chance to be relevant to the story somehow, being caught by BNP and that.

It's a stretch, but I wonder if Lola is how Loki became acquainted with Mosa (Shirahoshi), since the Rolling Pirates did pass through FMI. Maybe "the Proposer" played matchmaker by setting them up as pen pals, giving her Loki's number. Lola could have felt bad for rejecting Loki, the only person she has ever rejected, and thought he needed a friend. After all, Shirahoshi is also a prisoner in a way.

- 33 years ago: Harald mainly attacks pirate ships under the veil of sea mist (not near the Florian Triangle).
- 14 years ago: Loki takes the surviving royal guard out to sea to avenge Harald.
- 10 years ago: Shirahoshi is locked in the Shell Tower of Ryugu Castle.
- ? years ago: Loki targets World Government ships in fog-shrouded regions.
- ? years ago: Loki proposes to Lola; she runs away.
- 6 years ago: Shanks captures Loki and imprisons him in Elbaph's Underworld.
- 5 years ago: Lola passes through Fish-Man Island and ends up trapped in the foggy Florian Triangle. She and her crew lose their shadows.
- ? years ago: Loki befriends Mosa through Den Den Mushi calls.
