Luffy does not need to lose.

It’s the fact that when Luffy left the island after going up against every Gorosei sans Nusjuro and Kizaru, Oda did not have any land clean blows on him.

In the actual fighting going on, they were all incapable of landing attacks on Luffy. Mars got the best shot when Luffy intentionally shielded everyone from Mars’ strike, otherwise they posed literal 0 threat to Luffy in terms of ability

His powers give him the ability to win a battle, without any real damage. Their powers allow them to win the war, because they can just keep regenerating and run the entire crew down short of the Garp/Roger level effort from God Valley. If Akainu and Kizaru switched places from the time skip, the series would have ended at Egghead.

Imu is like the Gorosei Plus. Even with Loki, Gaban, and Zoro, Luffy is pretty boned if there's anything other than a head-on fight to the finish where Imu doesn't recruit help.

Its shit because Luffy comes out of two encounters with Kizaru where Kizaru, the fastest man in the verse, can’t land anything on G5 Luffy and his only method of winning is waiting for G5 to wear off.

Again. Luffy as a top tier before G5 existed, is resorting to using a hyper overdrive time limited form after being waived off otherwise. And he can barely land a hit during its entire run. He can barely separate himself from the man, looking at their round 1, G5 vs Kizaru felt like a relatively even battle with an edge to Luffy thanks to WSG at the end. This is really bad considering he looked useless outside of it.

It gets even worse when you factor in Kizaru likely wasn't even close to going as hard as Luffy was. Luffy was willing to turn himself into a raisin to keep up and all he had to show for it was a single attack with superficial damage and getting fed by his enemy. Kizaru may have 2 gears more to climb (1 being fighting serious, 2 being a potential awakening).
