Perfectly said, the absolute irony. I adored Luffy pre Nika, he was so funny, unpredictable, creative, silly, etc but now Oda has simplified and flanderised/exaggerated him to the extreme. Even some people say on reddit that the real Luffy died permanently in Wano and so many theories are going around that Nika is controlling/influencing Luffy and forcing him to act this unhinged way.

On an upside too, he's really fun to play as in Unlimited World Red since he's the main playable character outside battles. He feels like a pseudo Spider-man stretching his arms to grab onto rooftops and pull himself onto them.
When I first played Pirate Warriors 3, my jaw dropped when I used his special attack for the first time, the impact it had was so well done by the devs, it felt "real" somehow and more impactul than his attacks in the anime since Toei has gone really downhill over time.
As much as I love and especially hate Gear 5 ironically its really fun to play as in Pirate Warriors 4 though.

Oda is a fraud.
Post wano was a worst written saga for Luffy as a character and fighter.
He became yonko and yet lacked aura. He had more aura is fishmen island than he had post wano altogether.
It is one thing he failed to save vega punk but not having iota of self reflection is appalling. And as a bonus Oda humiliated him by having him fed by Kizaru. This is lowest of the lowest. He was killed as a character and fighter in this arc. He is too pussy to give a proper yonko like win for Luffy, might as well kill him. There was a lot of potential and narrative for Luffy vs Kizaru and he fucked it up because he is a fraud and coward.
There is that 2 minute fraud power up G5 which makes him patty for hours without food. This is even more fraud than G4. Look at other godlike powerups and look at fraud powerup.
Haki is gone case post wano. Post WCI, there was no use with FS and now there is no use of G5 and CoC. And no progress in other gears.
Now, his new favourite loki did better than Luffy against Imu. And Luffy was exhausted like a old man after one attach while Loki looking fresh as fuck despite chained for two years.
Oda the fraud made Luffys only goal in elbaf is to dickride shanks and do nothing about his fraud G5. There is nothing godlike about this piece of shit powerup and with each arc, Oda regressing it more and making it fraud. And for this fraud like powerup he stopped drawing g2 and g3 and CoC.
And irony died infinite times when Gorosei and everyone is hyping this fraud powerup and imu fearing this is very funny.
More the story progress, more the Oda makes Luffy more fraud G4 and G5. Oda better end this misery.
Make his new favourite Loki or his old favourite shanks or zoro main protag and continue with his cocksucking.
