Chapter Discussion The trio's reactions to Imu and Mihawk vs rest of other opponents

We’ve seen Luffy, Zoro and Sanji face all sorts of psycho killers but none of them have shown the same reaction as they do with Imu and Mihawk.

They all showed strong hesitation, “switched off” their usual gimmicks, heightened their guard as if they couldn’t afford a single mistake and clearly respected their strength which is something completely out of character for them.

He didn't seem to mind going against them few panels later. That's the Luffy we know who is willing to pull the risk without thinking about the consequences.
