100%. I've been wondering what Oda is cooking with this guy for a while. Oda was saving Usopp's big New World power ups for Imu, shit.
I think we'll see Usopp fight in base for a bit, maybe unlock CoC or some other Haki.
Then he goes down again.
Then Bonney comes in clutch with the Distortion Future, and we see full power Sogeking.
I'm working on a crazy theory that Usopp already ate a Devil Fruit, but it's stuck in his body because he lacks the digestive enzymes needed for this specific fruit.
The gist is that once he eats a certain substance that has propbiotics, he'll be able to digest the fruit finally and gain its powers. No idea what that would be though.
