Interesting question. There are two possibilities:
1. Killed by Imu;
2. Return with Imu;
Killing her is an interesting plot device because that would mean that Imu will be able to replace Gunko with someone else. I theorized that Nami would go with Imu as she did in Skypia, but in this case scenario, she will give up on her soul completely. So her life will be in Imu's hands.

What I mean here is that Nami will be alive until Imu is alive. You can break the first covenant; we saw how Shanks did that. We don't know if you can break the second covenant. But you can assume that the third covenant is the deal that Gunko made with Imu, as well as Gorosei. And the last covenant is unbreakable.
So if Gunko dies and Nami gets that covenant, Imu will basically build an unbreakable shield against Luffy. He would be able to end Nami's life whenever he wants. Oda made clear that JB was betrayed by his allies. This will be the way for Oda to represent the traitor plot in Luffy's situation. And that will also put the stakes on the highest level. Nami can even rejoin the crew, but she will be Imu's vassal, who can possess her body any time, and will watch how Luffy gets to Laughtale.

That is a good observation, we didn't see if she was successfully released. It's only implied, and Oda could subvert that expectation if he wished to.
I get the feeling that Brook's ability to influence people's souls through his music to find "courage" will play a part here. Would it be weird if Soul King had a concert mid-fight? He apparently has a personal stake in it.

That is a good observation, we didn't see if she was successfully released. It's only implied, and Oda could subvert that expectation if he wished to.

It is possible that some characters can coat their bodies with AdCoO. Not just prediction but the body seemingly moving on it's own. Think of it as Ultra Instinct. The other use is to "coat their minds" i.e. future sight.
AdCoA can be used to coat the physical body defensively and offensively, even extended to external objects such as weapons.
AdCoC should essentially be the coating of the soul, often described as haki or in some places ryou but they are in fact the same. The soul can be coated for defensive purposes and offensive, i.e. it should be possible to attack someone like King in flame on mode and defeat him 1HKO by attacking his soul rather than this body. These attacks might be the solution to Imu and the Holy Knights.
In my previous prediction I stated some characters like Brook & Big Mom, perhaps even Perona & Moriah, have fruits that might allow the user to attack the opponents soul in a similar way.
