General & Others Is Zoro the king of hell? If not now when?

#1

The “king of hell” the nickname of enma and what Zoro intends to embody

When king asked Zoro if he intended to become a king himself he answered yes. With him later clarifying after he won their fight that he doesn’t mean becoming the king of swordsmen but specifically referred to wanting to become the king of hell

During Wano king of hell was just a temporary form for Zoro but will he master it to the point that he’s able to incorporate it into his base and always be the king of hell?
  • Has he already done it?
  • Will he eventually?
  • Will it always be a temporary form?

We know that Oden was able to use that much haki casually

Just looking at the beginning of egghead Zoro has obviously grown significantly stronger

Idk which translation is right but
  1. If viz is right it could imply Zoro has become the king of hell and the sword serpent could be his next power up
  2. If the scanlations are right it would mean base Zoro is still significantly weaker than base Oden and hasn’t mastered king of hell yet

I believe that Oda thought king of hell was a cool mode to give to zoror to specify to us readers when he uses advance conq haki. The issue now is that I don't think Zoro will ever go over it. Oda has written zoro into a corner because he has all the powers of the elite of the serie minus the df but he's still lightyear behind the true top tiers. So Oda has to demonstrate to us that zoro is taking is haki mastery and his swordmanship overall into a whole new tier, a whole new level. I believe that's why we had the moment with Gaban and Zoro when he stated that he didn't know he had conq j-haki but that you need to know to properly exercice it

Those kind of questions just put in the light Oda’s current short-comings. And especially his self-indulgence.
Because yes what is the point for Zoro to call himself the King of Hell when Imu exists? What purpose does it serves narratively or in terms of characterization for the character? For the story ? For the crew? For the world of One Piece ?

It seems that Oda lack idea to give Zoro an epic ending against King and came up with this because he thought that was cool. Now it makes the character looks stupid because :
-Zoro will never fight Imu for the king of hell’s throne
-No one care about the king of hell’s throne.

So now what next ? Zoro just met the King of Hell and lose to him. Will he change his name or keep calling himself that when we all know that it is empty?
No most likely he will keep the name and Oda will make it seems that because Zoro turn Enma black is truly master “Enma-ou” therefore he is the King of Hell. Cheap? Yes but that is the state of current One Piece :kayneshrug:

What was zoro doing with those pre-voyage Oden haki zigzag lines

Is that the kind of opening he is tryna use against Mihawk just to get sent flying

No, context is king, and you're ignoring that.

Whitebeard senses Oden, he instantly hypes him and tells his crew to go back,
He moves to block him
he's visibly struggling/serious during the clash.

Meanwhile, Imu blocks with his tail, showing no concern for Zoro.
Then he uses a weaker move of his than DR, and puts Zoro down, showing no interest in him beyond that.

Imu = God-level
Kaido = Yonko-level
Zoro = Shichibukai-level
King & Lucci = Shichibukai-level

That simple.

Mihawk should be at Yonko-level with Kaido & Shanks. Just because characters are at the same level like Zoro, King & Lucci it doesn't mean they are equals. It simply means they will give each other a lot of work but eventually one will win and likely even clear cut. Same as Akainu vs Aokiji.

Regarding King of Hell it will take some time but he will get there. Right now he is probably just a mid boss demon of some sorts, he has yet to reach the level of Lucifer. Although I really find Citizen of Hell very funny :D

And yet, you are ignoring the context of my statement.

When did I say Imu acknowledged Zoro in the same/similar way WB acknowledged oden? or that the way Imu reacted to zoro was similar to Wb's reaction to Oden?

When did I say I was even making that kind of comparison? when I said "it's more like this"?

You assumed all of that by ignoring the context of my statement, when I was clearly talking about haki zig-zag lines

If you didn't do what you just excused me of, you'd know that.

Learn to read lil bro
