Probably Imu "summoned" a new weapon using the book and the weapon was black, just like his trident or the axes I showed.

It could be a hint to how to forge a genuine Black Blade. Maki is demonic power and Domi Reversi is essentially transforming into your demonic self, so Black Blade is very likely forged by turning one's spirit into demon which in the case of Zoro could just be his Asura state, and then one's Haki into Maki, and by infusing the two into a personal blade you turn it permanently into a Black Blade.
