Also Imu being Enel isn’t good in general because Luffy beat Enel despite being significantly weaker due to matchup

I disagree, because Luffy will lose the fight here. Which again is insane fit. because this will build up Imu's hype for the final war. Luffy wouldn't lose the fight against BlackBeard because he is BB rival, and it will be bad to lose the battle to him. But losing to Imu makes thing difficult to Luffy, because Imu exists.

Imu is not going to die until he captures Vivi. If somehow BB will be able to absorb weakened Imu as a blob, then he will be free again after BB's death, because Vivi's plot has to be fulfilled.
