On the cover page, we get our first real glimpse at Queen Carrot! She's embraced her new royal status with fashion! That looks like a really comfy jacket. But, it seems like her new royal status hasn't kept her from going out grocery shopping on her own. Going to a carrot-themed island and singing while walking on Panda-Sharks. Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing more of what Carrot's been up to, since becoming Queen of Zou. Honestly, it kind of feels like Carrot's just asking to be kidnapped in that getup, but I guess she can mostly hold her own.
So, Loki's not too happy with Imu for getting his dad killed. He was so young! Just a mere 144 years old! He had half of his whole life ahead of him! And...um...Imu says HE'S the one who suffered the most from that "inconvenience". I mean, given the supposed link between Imu and the Contract holders, that might actually be true. But, man...being isolated in that Flower Garden for the last 800 years has NOT helped Imu's social graces.
Ragna Izuchi! Which is blocked by Imu's own attack. Most of Imu's attacks seem to get Devil faces. I guess that's why he has the "Devil's" Fruit.
I guess Sanji needs Lilith and Bonney to save him after getting attacked by Imu last chapter. *Squints* Unless that's supposed to be Gunko? I think it's Sanji, but this isn't the most clear angle in the world. And I'm not sure if Gunko's hair would revert back after getting unfrozen?
But, Jinbe's being a genteman and shielding Nami from the wind with his massive girth!
"Omen is merely Mu's military might". I do wonder what the original Japanese is here. It feels like the kind of line that probably has multiple meanings.
And Imu can grow to Giant size just like Luffy can. Seems more and more like those two Devil Fruits are probably related somehow.
"It's power dwells in all things". Hmm...kind of brings to mind the Voice of All Things. Could it be related?
"Nemesis" So...Imu can just turn one end of his Naginata into a sword? Huh. Does it count as a Black Blade if it's made out of Black Flames? Eh...who knows? The sword IS the same style of blade as Yoru, though. Even though, it's got a different pommel. Ironically, Imu's sword is LESS evocative of the Contract Mark than Mihawk's sword.
Corruption, Covenant, and Power/Maki/Omen are part of a trinity of Dominion. So, desiring to be stronger is what allows Imu to control people? Feeling envy is all it takes?
"Is there a difference between a God and a Devil?" Why do I suddenly hear the Mazinger Z theme song? Also, this is kind of interesting potential "commentary" on the God Fruits.
"The World itself rejoices in a state of Dominion. Isn't that right...JOYBOY!" Okay, that's a interesting line. This chapter is just FULL of interesting lines. And Imu in the flashback actually looks more like his shadowy form. So, that shadowy form might still be closer to his true form than the one we're seeing right now.
Somehow, I feel like Imu misinterpreted Joyboy's meaning. I feel like Joyboy wanted to make everyone strong, so that they'd be equal. But, Imu's making everyone who sides with him strong, as long as they obey him. I doubt Joyboy wanted to have dominion over everyone. Or something like that? It's all very vague right now.
Luffy's gorging himself for this battle! Eat, Luffy, Eat! Eat with all your might! Eat that pasta, eat it fasta, till it's outta sight!
Imu gets hammered into the side of Yggdrasil. But, he doesn't really seem to get worried until Loki enters his Nidhogg form. And after taking a full Thorheim to the face, Imu is...smiling? Is Imu...enjoying this fight? I mean, this is probably the first time he's been out of the castle in a few hundred years. Or is he just glad to have found Nidhogg as another ingredient of his plan? I guess we'll find out...later! Imu's almost certainly going to turn the tide on Loki next chapter, giving Luffy a chance to step in. But, it's a little hard to parse what's going through Imu's head right now, since Oda's determined to keep so much of it as mysterious as possible.
