It just shows you Oda is not pulling any punches to show this is not even a top tier battle, it's beyond that. He would never make Zoro's endurance look like dogshit if it wasn't the case, he wants to emphasize this is on another level than anything we've seen.

Unfortunately the days of real L’s for the Straw Hats are looooooong gone. This is Happy Piece, Luffy will never take a meaningful L again.

We’ve already seen Limu twerk to CoC on one occasion, I would bet money on us seeing it again here.

Maybe, but this seemed/seems the perfect opportunity for me, especially before the final war.

Reason being they can take an absolute giga L here and still win:

Usually, why the SH cant be defeated (and why the raid will fail was such a dogshit theory) is that it fucks up the narrative: There is some tyrant/evil guys, the people rally up together with the SH as spearhead and take them down. If they were to "fail" that would totally shit on the narrative.


However, here there is a oppurtinity presented: The Summoning circle. Its i dont think nowhere stated, but its heavily implied given what we've seen in Egghead and here that if you sever the connection, it kinda fucks up with the abyss. And given Imu is not an internal thread, he just cant "reappear" again here

So the SH can get their asses kicked and even be separated, while the island can still get a happy ending

Nah I’m sorry but an L just doesn’t make sense.

Elbaph is not falling this close to EOS. There is a zero percent chance of that happening. That introduces an entirely new convoluted plot line about the giants being displaced, and creates all kinds of problems related to that…or worse, the giants can’t be involved at EOS because they’re trying to take their home back. Nah it’s just not possible.

So Imu literally cannot win here.

Imagine Imu winning, and then being forced to return to the Holy Land, and then the Straw Hats just beat the shit out of the Holy Knights so Elbaph can’t be held. In that case Imu’s victory would be completely meaningless tonal whiplash.

We are at the point in the manga where Nika can’t lose in a major way. There just isn’t enough time left.

His endurance and attack power are otherworldly. We can use Zoro and Sanji as reference for the attacks he's taking while already injured mind you, his attack power is still his best attribute though. The swings he is throwing out at Imu would likely kill or at the very least KO any top tier. These are next lvl attacks, just like when he killed Harald.

Yeah, people are not valuing this enough. Before KoH he had good offensive and defensive showings against Kaido + BM, even overpowering Kaido in Asura. And Imu negs this offense and defense explicitly a power-up and two arcs later.

Loki is just insane and breaking the power scale. All these comparisons ITT with other clashes in the past, if they have any merit, are only relevant for figuring out the gap between Imu and Loki. They say nothing about the gap between Loki and the rest of the verse.

This is same Zoro who has way better control of his Haki than when he gave Kaido a scar for life and made Lunarian with flames on scared for his well-being.

Loki genuinely power crept Yonko and Admirals so badly that only Shanks and maaaaaaybe Akainu could be above him.

And he'll probably 2v1 more serious Imu with Luffy on his side
