Speculations Nami is Celestial Dragon. She will go with Imu in the end of Elbaf

Hopefully Oda does devolve into Nami’s past but at this point i feel its too late. I kinda gave up when he revealed Zoro’s parents in sbs and i thought he would be invested in history of his clan.

It would add extra layer to her character so far she has been one dimensional post timeskip . Her random powerup was Zeus , i hope this happens but will oda take another detour like he did with Sanji ?
I have hopes right now, because this is the last moment when something like this can happen. If Imu didn't recognise Nami as CD, I will admit that her past will be like Zoro's, or even less important. But Oda everywhere was showing her as "queen" with queen manner, plus even the fact that she was able to control Zeus and homies would be explained by her CD heritage. Also, she has some connection with Shirahoshi Poseidon. But yeah, everything will be just a coincidence if Nami is not CD.

The argument that certain fanbases prefer "murderporn" (extreme, gratuitous violence) over "narrative masterpieces" (thematic or anti-war depth) is a recurring theme in mecha and anime critique.

Critics and even creators like Yoshiyuki Tomino (the creator of Gundam) have famously worried that fans miss the series' anti-war message by focusing solely on the "cool" factor of the violence.

idk why you call me like that. I'd be glad for the death of any SH, because this is the time when something like that would be fine. The story is close to the end, so death is a good option right now(the character will miss just one to three arcs, but will be remembered as tragic character). It's much better than just surviving, end of story, because it's just boring. Die as legend is much better than just surviving and becoming another Sakura/Rock Lee EOS

Nami is my favorite character, but if she dies, that doesn't matter for the sake of story tension. Still, I agree that this idea is something else:
I hopes he grapes lami. Would be a W
As for this point

You should read Pandora Hearts in the last 40 chapters; the author killed almost all characters, and the tension was so crazy that you were reading each chapter with a horrific feeling of who would die next. And it was crazy, but it made this whole story a masterpiece.
Many famous authors and books have characters' deaths, even in the Bible. How many died? Including prophets, God's Son and apostles. This is something that makes whole story important, sacrifice and martyr idea, was always something special, that puts stakes on different lvl, when character dies for ideals, for saving others, this makes the story beutiful.
@Light D Lamperouge are you aree on this?

When did he said that?

I can see how Luffy can die/ descend as Nika in the end os story. But we will see, of course. I don't really have big hopes for it.

As for One Piece characters' death, not in Flashback, the only beautiful death was WB's death. Ace's death was tragic, but he didn't die for some ideals; he died because of his own mistakes and stupidity.

Goofy already died against Kaido, that‘s why the G5 retard has surfaced.

I can‘t fathom the idea, that Oda is going to make Luffy transcend into a real God.

Usopp should die, his dream is to become a brave warrior, well do it here on Elbaph (but won‘t happen before he meets his father again).

Jinbei can die so can Nami, no need for them, but at least Nami‘s wish can only be fulfilled at the end of their journey.

Nika and Imu fruits are two parts of one thing. I believe in the end all DF will dissapear, or those two became one. So it would have different story narrative. Luffy's dream will be fullfilled and his jorney will end there, he will not stay as King of the Pirates till his death. This is not Naruto when boy dreamed to became General of USA.
