General & Others Did Carrot ever have a Real Goal or Dream?

90% of the reason people wanted Carrot to join the Strawhats was solely because she's a Girl. And the only 10 % wanted her to join because they're degenerates. But Carrot was never a good fit for the Crew. She never really developed more than just a surface level relationship or bond with any of the Strawhats. And she never really had her own Goal or Dream?

The closest she came was inherenting Pedro's Goal of helping Luffy find the Red Poneglyphs and become the King of the Pirates. Other than that there was nothing she herself wanted.

She would have been a better fit for the crew than geriatric Jinbei.

His position on the crew is useless and he doesn't have a hope in hell of changing attitudes toward fishmen when the manga will end right after Luffy becomes pirate king.

Some straw hat dreams are pretty basic, Usopp wants to become a great warrior, chopper wants to become a great doctor, Lanji wants to find an ocean that may or may not exist so he can cook some fish. Straw hat dreams are largely surface level, it's their character that's the most important thing and Carrot was the better fit. Oda flopped with Jinbei.

That moment was quite impactful, so combined with her dynamic with the crew and her position on the ship, it's easy to imagine why many of us thought she would join.
