Nah for Luffy standards it's bad. He's not even top 3 if you gave each region 1 seat for placements.

Also in those other manga, other characters are allowed to shine. Naruto was like a side character during most of Shippuden. Gon is a side character in multiple arcs, heck he's not even a side character currently.
