Sure I do agree, that's more entertaining and intresting than a panel or two every 200 chapters, but even then, Doffy is still top 25...

However, Croco was the first real villain in the first massive saga and good written on top of that, dude basically set the stakes for whatever came after, so imo nostalgia still plays a role.

Dude was aura farming in DR and reverie but he was incredibly solid in egghead. Not shocked he made it this high

For me his character was ruined when Oden clapped him, won because of a hostage and didn't give Oden the chance to fight him in a 1 vs 1 without intervention.

To this day I still don't understand why Kaido couldn't simply have defeated Oden because he was simply stronger?
Like if you're going to introduce your villain as the strongest in 1 vs 1 in his freaking introduction chapter, wouldn't it make sense to have his only recorded 1 vs 1 against a top tier to have been a fair win?

Well this came as the expense of the portrayal of the villain of the biggest arc in the series, which is not good writing. And we can see that just looking at Kaido ranking
