Kaido and Big Mom are such good characters, but Oda spent too much time playing around with their backstories. Especially Kaido.
I actually like Wano a lot, i just feel it's a really experimental arc, that swings and misses a lot.
Oda's saving the Ryuma stuff for the Void Century, and that makes sense even though I would have liked to see it in Wano proper.
The sheer amount of random animals coming out of people's asses in this arc, like a rooster, physically coming out of a man's ass, and you don't give us the main villains backstory.
We get a tiny flashback. That's what infuriates me about the entire arc. So much setup and such uneven payoff.
The biggest reason I believe we're going back is because we didn't get Kaido's actual history or Wano's.
Just 150 chapters and 200 fucking episodes of jank Oden wank leading to a completely out of left field revelation that the main character is actually a god.
The ingredients for Wano are there. The cooking ain't.
You can tell from Elbaph being superior in nearly every aspect Oda realized he fucked around too much in Wano.
You think there's any chance Kaido and Big Mom show up here? I've got the Red Hair Pirates, Cross Guild + Kuzan, and Vivi showing up.
But I think Kaido and Linlin coming here would be objectively the funniest shit imaginable.
I think Emeth was from Elbaph, and is connected to the Ancient Tech Lab.
We know Pluton is a battleship, and I believe it is a Kaiju/Dragon turned into a submarine battleship.
Perhaps Pluton partially activates when it senses Imu's Haki, and causes Mt. Fuji to erupt? This launches Yonkou Drunk and Hungry back out, ans they go to Elbaph sensing Imu's Haki.
"This Haki... so, you're the bastard, that killed Rocks!"
