Once I started to realize that the epstein shit was real like a decade ago, I made it a direct point to support legit consensual relationships, no matter how weird they are.

You can judge people very well by what they tolerate, compared to what they don't.

Love should be celebrated, not sold out.

I like the Persona series because it explores strange relationships, while making it clear consent and respect are the most important things in strong relationships.

They definitely do take things too far at some points though. P5 Joker is legit a toxic asshole for blackmailing his homeroom teacher into performing maid work for him, and then pushing her into a relationship when she clearly doesn't want to pursue one. And this is in a game, where one of the teachers is literally a rapist that gets sent to jail for abusing a student until they attempted suicide.

That shit is objectively disgusting. God dang it Atlus. P3 Portable has weird shit, too. P3 FES and P4 Golden number one forever.

I think with things like that it's a matter of whether or not the story is portraying it as a bad thing.
I'm not against dark subjects in games, movies, books etc., but they have to be very tactful with them. Too many stories are lazy with the dark subjects they address
