True, since they updated their production and direction techniques at the start of Wano, OP was almost seasonal anime quality on a weekly 12 manga page per episode schedule.

Obviously it wasn't sustainable, which is why they finally switched to seasonal to maintain that quality. Can't wait for Sunday.

Since Wano started where animation was at the lowest ever being. The anime is currently on the best time. That's right! Right now without any episodes released. I hope it keeps this way till the end.
If Elbaf arc in manga ending will be solid, I'm honestly will think about dropping manga(or spoilers reading reader) and becoming anime only.

Yeah, I mean, Reverie lol.

But WCI was a big step up from Dressrosa in a lot of ways, and even had a really solid climax in the Katakuri fight, which would sort of become the norm for major one piece action episodes.

Water 7 is when the Anime got good tbh
Who could ever forget the animation director for Movie 7, the one with realistic boob physics.

The Anime was also a product of its time. the constant episodes without a break. The ironic thing is One Piece just didn't have enough Filler to properly pace the episodes. If you look at series like Naruto and Bleach they had over 40% for Naruto and almost 50% for Bleach of Filler so that the mange could stay ahead enough that the Anime could still be well paced. The funniest thing is One Piece would have been the easiest to do filler with, just have them go on an adventure on a non-canon island.
