Questions & Mysteries Do you agree with Dragon Ball Editor, Torishima’s criticism of modern One Piece

You still haven’t provided any evidence that Domi Reversi can be used on corpses.
I don't need to.

1. It's implicited by the power. It's literally a form of control of the will and body and we know the will can outlast death itself
2. We still don't know if these people are really dead.
3. There are a thousand of reason why they could be on the floor other than domi reversi

Again. You are trying to find a problem with something that can be explained in many different ways and frankly, doesn't even need explanation for the story to work. In other words, you guyz are cherry picking on wind.

If Imu can DR corpses, then why didn’t he DR Roger or WB? Why didn’t he possess Saturn in Egghead, DR the corpse of Vegapunk, and have DR Vegapunk tell them where the broadcast snail is?

Why do you want characters to function like machines and think about every single possibilities and potentialities at every single moments, why can't characters make mistakes or not think about obvious solutions or simply choose to be non-optimal?

I think you are reading the wrong manga if you are searching for that. Maybe you should rather read something like Death Note.

Does thinking beyond mean shutting your brain off?

Brogy’s hand didn’t grow back, even when he was Domi Reversi’d, because Imu blew it off before then. If the Davies were killed before being DR’d, then we’d see fatal wounds on their DR form

It means go beyond the surface layer of your own reflections.

Exactly.

Please show me the panel showing the dead Davies

If a regular dude like Shiroyru thought of that, how does it make sense for Oda to write a character who'd definitely be far more intelligent than a regular guy and yet still have that character not think of the most obvious solutions to his problems?
I will be fair, though, this is probably just a plot thing. If Imu possessed Saturn there (or did something similar to this) it'd be harder to write an out for the Straw Hats and their allies

Super and Diama were way worse than One Piece, when it came to Toriyama being surrounded by "Yes Men".
Super >>>>>> Daimud

There's a reason why nobody talks about OG DB compared to Z. Kid versions of everybody is pandering to the 0.1% of the fandom who reminisce about pre-super saiyan rainbow and teen Bulma panties

Lots of yapping without providing evidence.
Again, to validate the presence of a plot hole, you need to find something that contradicts the logic of the story in an unexplainable way. As long as it is explainable, even subtly like this situation (which is often the case in One Piece) there are no plot holes. It's basic storytelling.

This is a usual case of confirmation bias. You wanna see something bad and a plothole; so you look at a TINY detail that feels sketchy and focuses on it, but you don't think beyond and therefore you give me a bad exemple of plot hole.

Give me other examples, this one is not one. And it's not even a case of bad writing since nothing here impacts the narration of the scene in a bad way. Only tension is created.

:ihaha:

Y'all are some characters on here, can't believe entertainment like this is free in 2026.

Ironically, in this case, they should?

We aren't talking about Queen the plague here. We're talking about Imu, who has had 800 years to think about his powers, to some extent has sacrificed his humanity, has countless advisors etc.

There's pretty much no reason Imu isn't moving like a death note character.
