LOL, neither. They're comically bad fights.

Both opponents have already been beyond embarrassed in this arc lmfao. It's like Luffy vs. drugged-up Hody, but worse.

Considering how strong Imu is compared to the rest of the verse, I think it would've at least made sense to have Zoro fight Shamrock and Sanji fight Gunko.

Oda has never put Sanji in a situation where his refusal to fight women would actually jeopardize the crew in a very tangible way. Black Maria was not nearly strong enough for this. With Gunko, not only would Sanji actually have to overcome a self-inflicted nerf to win the fight, but it would actually provide some stakes and some interesting growth

As for Zoro, the vast majority of his opponents aren't even swordsmen lmfao. The least he could do before beating Mihawk is defeat a legitimately respectable swordsman, not just some bum way below his paygrade who happens to carry a sword

People asked for 20 years "but what if sanji MUST defeat a woman, what if he was FORCED To" and Oda litterarly answered that in the queen fight, even if he had no memories if he actually would hit woman he would kill himself, and if he unable to (because he thought he was not in control of his mind) he would ask his buddy zoro to kil himself.
Sanji has no woman phobia, its a code that he will not break, its part of his Kishido, like it or not

What is a "self-induced" Nerf is using his hands, however. He thinks a cook needs his hands and should never injure them. Thats an actual selfish reason we alread see partly circumvent in the wanze fight, for example

I can see oda saving this for this final fight or a special occasion

Oda answered it in Enies Lobby when Robin was in immediate danger and he'd rather risk losing her than hit a women.

If Oda was a real one though, he would apply real pressure on Sanji and force some real character growth.

Thing is, every time this has happened Sanji ends up getting bailed out by a crewmember - I get that it's a core part of who he is, but at the very least Oda should introduce some consequences for it, idk. I think it would be way, way more interesting than what we're getting now
