Novel My Original Character and his backstory: Saran "Big Daddy" D. Rox

#1
Born on God Valley one hour before the confrontation between Rox and Garp.
Son of Rox D. Xebec and Big Mom
Evacuated by Shiki after his captain lost.

Raised by Shiki till Edd War
Aged 11

Separated from Shiki after his Impel Down escape and settling on Merveille
Aged 17

Recruited his first-mate, on the long string of island secluded from the rest of the New World known as Kaijushima, where four monsters ruled Moth, Goji, Mecha, and and King-G. Took over the island and became the captain of the "Big Daddy" Pirates.
The dream of the Big Daddy Pirates captain, Saran D. Rox, aged 18 21 years ago,
is to create the worlds biggest harem and marry 1000 women.

He achieved a 200 million beri bounty for a skirmish between him and Marines, but has laid low due to not wanting to arouse too much suspicion about his island.
Kaijushima.

Led an attack on 3 Marine Bases, G-3, G-2, and G-1, leading to a bounty increase from a dormant 200 mill to 800 million.

With having 40 Wives, he achieved status that the Marines sent Vice-Admirals to put a stop to him, only for the Big Daddy Pirates, now having completed their ship, leave Kaijushima to attack G-4.

Having suffered a horrendous defeat where the starting three members were beaten up severely, Mecha, Goji, and Moth were recovering. His crew was weakened for the time being, leaving him with only his 40 wives, the Marines stopped worrying too much about him. The one to lead the charge against him was at the time Admiral Kizaru. His bounty for escaping and surviving the Buster Call was raised to 2.2 Billion.

Current Story
Since then, he learned of the World Governments war against Whitebeard in a broadcast, and prepared to take down the World Government by resettling on Kaijushima, this time with his 40 wives. His laying-low policy has reached a tipping point, and his island has been transformed completely as he wished it to be. In commemoration of his old crew, he separates the 40 wives into 4 Districts of Kaijushima.
Each district has 10 wives. These districts house 20 daughters each, for a total of 80.

A highly mechanized island with state of the art machinery as well as Seastone tech stolen from Marine ships, Kaijushima has slowly risen on the Marines radar, after a failed expedition by Smoker and Tashigi.

I love this part. It sets up a lot of potential dramatic relevancy and also a lot of potential thematic, I believe you used the Godzilla thematic for a reason.

The fact of the character being a son of Big mom and Xebec makes complete sense too.

I'm not a fan of the harem of 1000 women tho, although it could be interpretated as a pirate like character, not really a main character.

The setup is cool, tho, it could be a fun character to fight against.

Now it lacks a big narrative relevancy:

- Who really is Big D Saran ?
- What does he likes ?
- What does he believes in ?
- What are his flaws and desires ?
- Why does he need to find all these women ? Is this because of a lack of a mother ? Is it because of a will to control them? Why?
Etc.

For the moment, what you delivered looks to my opinion like a fun remote villain secluded in an island, perhaps a similar vibe as Big Mom, a bit authoritarian with his female crew, or not, I don't know how he treats the women (although it is a harem so the women there are most likely in a position where abuse can happen).

This is interesting.

Actually Big Daddy Saran is a Anarcho Communist and treats everyone equally. They just follow him purely out of love and do advise him if things aren’t going well.

His core crew

the elder first mate King-G is king of the Draconian tribe in the northern region

Goji is said the Reptialian Kin in the forest area.

Mecha, is unknown to whom he was built by, on Kaijushima. He is the model for the mechanical protectors dubbed the “Mecha Gods” think drones patrolling the islands coast. He can conduct and control them. There were like 278 built in total.

Mothra the bug butterfly lady who writes code on a computer hunched over and also installs updates into the Mecha Gods fighting code AI as well as running all the elevators and escalators on Kaijushima

Rodan.
a very low ranking member with basic Armanent and a good fireball attack. Kind of a wild card.

I guess the harem thing isn’t the best way to put it. It’s less authoritarian and more them glazing him for breathing 😆.

Kaijushima crew: everyone voluntarily follows Big Daddy Saran out of love and respect, there's no coercion, they advise him when needed, and roles like King-G (a literal king) seem to have chosen equality over rule—which fits anarcho-communism's emphasis on voluntary, non-hierarchical relationships.

His core crew Mothra, is like a bug running code because he is in charge of a lot of mechanical engineering and the databases on Kaijushima. I guess the harem thing isn’t the best way to put it. Indeed, the problem with the harem is that it places your character in complete position of domination, even if the women follow him by love, it can only become a problem if he is willingly using that power structure and it can only eventually lead to see the character as a form of antagonist or at the very least, piraty man.

If your character is a form of anarcho communist (like me), he would rather try to even the power structure, meaning absolutely no way for a harem to form and he would create a system collectively with his crew without real hierarchy (unless its decided collectively). He would probably won't be captain unless it's also decided as such collectively.

do you want to create a fanfiction with this character?

Yes. I guess he is a BIT authoritarian as far as he wants to be seen as the Leader but he is very hands off when it comes to things that don’t harm his crew or island or himself.
