Authors will write "lightspeed" characters who aren't going to literally travel around the world in a second, you just have to use suspension of disbelief that the difference between how fast they run won't be the same as how they interact with actual light.

Kizaru only reaches lightspeed when he accelerates to 100% and kicks. Every other time he’s around 25-60% lightspeed at best.
