I felt like getting these thoughts out of the way.

I love where we are now at the story. I don't care about anything else right now in the moment. I know it is not perfection, but for me it is hitting the right spots somehow.
The strawhats deserved some love and for me I don't care about who is being taken care of right now. Brook is a beautiful choice. He is not part of the East Blue 5 and he is still shrouded in mystery. Oda has not forgotten, now it's a cool opportunity to give the stage to Brook, the other strawhats will follow up later.

I am happy with where we are right now.

I agree! This timing could've been better, but Brook definitely deserves a deeper dive to his story. I think in Oda's initial vision to end story within 5 years, it probably was a smoother sailing with a lot of focus on main characters, i.e. SHP. But as he got way too many characters to expand his world, he lost his focus along the way.

I wouldn't say "loss". Looking outside of the strawhat cast is a definite choice. To my opinion it is the right one. He will sometimes go a little bit overboard with the addition of random character (especially in Whole cake and Wano), but overall this choice allowed for the world to feel more alive and concrete than any other.
