Speculations Demonstrate a higher understanding of the story

It is an assumption that what Doflamingo said only applies to the Paramecia variety. The fact that Luffy's fruit follows that same rule isn't a coincidence. There's my defense for that.

The Red Line... Hmm... I'm not sure what you mean by removing it entirely? I would assume that removing it entirely has many of the same consequences as destroying it.
You'd need another example for that, Luffy so far is the exception that confirms the rule.. And Luffy wasn't just affecting the grounds and the buildings like Doflamingo, he was affecting everything even Kaido himself.. Able to grab lightning, creating stuff out of thin air.. There should be a new Class of Devil Fruits just for Luffy's fruit alone..

Destroying the Red Line raises the water around the World, Removing it entirely would lower the Waters around the World..

You're assuming Zoans function differently and then you're saying although Luffy follows Doflamingo's rule that Oda retconned Zoans.

I disagree with that and I don't think it's open to questioning. If you feel it is, we can agree to disagree about it.

Your argument relies on saying a retcon exists.

The logic:

1) Zoans don't apply abilities to their environment when they awaken.

2) Oda made a retcon that allowed Luffy to be the sole exception to the rule.

I'm arguing the other end of that. If it's not a retcon, it simply follows the logic already stated in the story. When we say something like Zoans are being retconned we are injecting the story with our own personal opinion.

A conversation about whether retcons exist or not isn't going anywhere. It's a nothing burger.

My deep analysis: Your old avatar was better

Supporting evidence:
- having a non One Piece avatar differentiated you more from the crowd. Luffy and Kizaru are a dime a dozen around these parts
- Yoh Asakura fit the thoughtful and theory-focused threads you make better than an action scene. Your current avatar erroneously gives the vibe of an "Agenda Piece" poster
- action panels are generally worse avatar choices than character portraits, as cramming all the necessary elements into the little squares we are provided with for avatars renders even the most elegant action panels somewhat hard to parse
That's fair.

In my defense, I figured since I'm in Rome I outta do as the Romans do. Conventionalism Vs. Conformity. Don't call me a conformist lol

While Conventionalism and Conformity both deal with aligning one's actions with societal norms, they differ fundamentally in their motivation and scope.

Conventionalism is a principled or habitual adherence to specific cultural, linguistic, or social conventions (the unspoken rules of society). Conformity is a broader behavioral or psychological phenomenon where an individual alters their attitudes, beliefs, and actions to match a group. Put simply: Conventionalism is about following the rules, while conformity is about fitting in with the crowd.
