General & Others Shuri won’t be saved this arc

#1
I feel like a lot of people think that Shuri will be saved this arc, I don’t believe so.

My prediction is that Shuri will for some time regain control over her body, but will tell Brook to save her and this will be his motivation going into the final war.

His final opponent in the series will be Gunko, he will learn CoO and CoA and awaken his fruit which will fully revive him into his 28 year old self which was imo his physical prime.

After Shuri is rescued, she won’t age rapidly but will cease to be immortal and so will Brook. She’ll physically return to being 18 and he will be 28 and both will live normal lives as a married couple till they die naturally at an old age.

I think it'll be neat if they bring her on the sunny ice n all then future generations would talk about the mysterious woman encased in ice on the pirate kings ship

I kind of thought the same thing, back before we got Brook's flashback. I thought we'd probably save expanding on this flashback for later. At least until the "epilogue" of the Elbaph arc, and it'd be something we explore more in a later arc.

...But, now that we're delving into this backstory, right now? I don't know. It seems like we're at least setting things up to hear Gunko/Shuri's side of this story by the end of this arc, if not before that. Oda usually gives us all the backstory of the "princess" we need to save during the arc itself.

It seems like Oda's established that there's not much Imu can actually do to get Gunko out of the ice on his own. He tried to attack the ice and it didn't seem to do anything. It seems like Ragnir is really the only one who can unfreeze the ice. So, if Imu wants to get the girl out of the ice to bring her back with him to Mariejois, he's going to have to kidnap the squirrel, too. And I don't know if I see that happening.

I am leaning towards Gunko/Shuri getting more or less saved by the end of this arc. But, I guess it all really depends on what happens with Imu, and how much of a win or loss Elbaph as a whole is for the Strawhats. Because a lot of this is kind of up in the air. If the Strawhats lose here, I guess Gunko probably would remain frozen in ice until after Laugh Tale. Which would be a excuse for Oda to keep a few key secrets closer to his chest until the very end of the story. But, part of me doubts that the Strawhats will actually lose, because we still have the SOMETHING that Scopper wants to tell them after the fight. Not to mention that the Ohara books ARE still right here, so I doubt Oda wants them to fall into the Government's hands. I doubt it'll be a total victory, but I don't see Elbaph completely falling to the Government here, either.

At this point, I still think something's going to happen to cause Imu to retreat. Whether it's because of Imu's health problems, or something happening at Mariejois, or something Luffy does. And Gunko's probably going to get left behind. And that would give the Strawhats a chance to interrogate Gunko and learn her side of the story.

But, I've been wrong a LOT. So, who knows? It could go several ways, depending on how Oda wants to take this.

Don’t mix up what you want with what you think will happen, you all want Shuri saved this arc because you like her character not because it’s the most interesting thing to happen.

But having a set final opponent for each straw hats is the best way to go rather than have randoms be the final villains

When the straw hats don’t have final fights to conclude their stories, don’t come back crying, I will not sympathize with you since you asked for it, bitch ass
