Speculations What purpose does meeting Gaban at the end of the arc serve?

#1
Gaban told the Straw Hats to come meet him if Elbaf is still safe by the time they leave.

Why? What purpose does that serve? Is he going to train them?

I don't think so. Among possibilities, he might know about the 4th poneglyph location.

Yeah, I've brainstormed about this before, too.

Right now, I'm leaning towards Option 10 (Medicine), as the most likely option. Strange diseases seem to be more and more of a plot point in this manga, so I could see Scopper giving the Strawhats some vaccine that they need so they don't catch something like Buggy's "Island Disease" right before they reach Laugh Tale. Maybe Scopper even gives them his own blood, so Chopper can synthesize his antibodies since he's already been on Laugh Tale. Everyone becoming "blood brothers" with a member of Roger's old crew might be pretty fitting, if we're setting off for Lodestar and Laugh Tale right after this.

But, most of these other ideas are still mostly on the table, too. Scopper's gotten pretty banged up this arc, so I don't think Option 7 (Scopper Joining the Crew) is really on the table, anymore. But, everything else is still viable. He COULD teach the Strawhats about Haki Knots. Or give them some way to go underwater or underground. Or finally let them unlock fast travel around the World. Or just tell them more of what he knows about how to fight the God's Knights and how to get around their Regeneration.

It could just be as simple as telling them a story, too. But, like I say in that old post, all the members of Roger's old crew that we've met so far have given the Strawhats a piece of advice AND gave them a physical object, too. Crocus gave them their Log Pose, and Rayleigh gave them the Bubble Coating for their ship. So, chances are, Scopper will give them a physical gift of some kind, too. It's just kind of hard to say what it'll be.

I'm guessing Gaban gives them an eternal pose to Lodestar where the Oro Jackson is moored, which contains the final Road Poneglyph. Gaban then tells them that Sanji is the strongest on the crew!!

I think him being the man marked by flames is a red herring but I think he may know something about it and could give the strawhats a lead

He's a man with burn scar, but this community is the most retarded one in shonen so it's just another "man who drank with crocus is shiki" shit because they are too far up their own ass retarded theories

Kind of tired of people handing out Ponelglyphs to SH.
Roger crew took years for it. Kaidou and Bigmom only managed to get one.
Lol, if anything, Roger had it easier. He got to see the ones at Fishman Island, Zou and Wano with permission of the rulers. The Straw Hats got the one at Zou for Chopper healing the wounded survivors from Jack's attack and got the Wano one as thanks for dethroning Kaido.

They already travelled the entire grandline and went back again to pin point red ones.
On top of that they were already at the top of the game.
Roger stole from linlin before oden case. They only needed a ponelglyph translator for them.

That doesn't change that Baahn, Neptune and Sukiyaki basically let Roger see them without him doing anything like saving their lands like Luffy did. So yes, I would say Luffy had a harder time of it.
