Oda gave Luffy partial G4, basically confirming that the G4 time-limit is a thing of the past and Luffy can use it as he pleases.

Luffy is also eating more to prep for battle, thereby extending his G5 time-limit.

Then you have Sanji, who is clearly going to awaken ACoC to beat Qilingham.

But what about Zoro? Certainly Oda wouldn’t forget him.

Given Zoro didn’t even know he was a conqueror until Elbaf, I would think the most logical power up for him would be further mastery of ACoC. Zoro can use the power, but he never showed the refinement Luffy did. We never saw him use, for example, the no-touch blade that Roger and WB had.

I think Zoro will show such advanced CoC techniques against Sommers. I could in particular see him gaining ACoC shockwaves akin to Roger, Shanks, and Xebec.

The question is what skillset Sommers will have tbh. As of now he doesn't look like he'll be a threat against Zoro. Df ability is rather basic, he's amped especially in terms physical strength. He doesn't have adv CoC.
If he's awakened and creates a sea of thorns he could make use of the fact that Zoro cannot actually float in the air like luffy or sanji.

Will he create such a thick thorn armor that Zoro cannot get through with CoC to hurt him? Maybe large ass flying slashes with CoC? But he did something like that against king already.

DF nullification with CoC? Possible.
Perma CoC armor like Rocks? Or CoC susanoo? The only things I can think of. He'd need that if Sommers overwhelmes him with so many thorns that he needs a way of defense.

Offense wise, without hacks, Sommers currently simply cannot match zoro.

Given Sommers has an Omen, perhaps he can summon Imu’s blade, Nemesis.

That could force Zoro to forge one of his blades into a black blade. I guess.

Zoro's obvious growth will be mastering ACoC. Gaban yelled him for not knowing or being able to control his CoC. Zoro can't surpass his current level without mastering ACoC.

His other growth will be cutting power related. If Zoro wants to be the WSS and reach the Pinnacle of swordsmanship he must have greater cutting power. With Oda giving Sommer a steel heart that's hard to damaged, combined with omen flames that can turn into steel, Oda has created the perfect opportunity for Zoro to cut the omen flames/steel that appears to be nearly possible to damage. Imu omen power clashed against the magical Hammer squirrel without breaking or chipping


We all should understand the monster trio main growth by now.

Luffy - greater DF control and stronger AP.

Zoro - greater cutting power and stronger AP.

Sanji - greater body (speed) power and stronger AP.
