What I mean by that is that, when Sanji unlocks CoC Haki, would folks see Sanji in a different light/view or does CoC has nothing to do with Sanji's character as they are separate matters? Would be interesting to hear y'all thoughts.
I like what's going on with sanji right now, even if it's leaning towards a really convenient plot point, which is conveniently being placed now by sanji meeting his mirror in gaban who was #3 of the crew, and him conveniently telling him to become a king at the time of fighting enemies where the only real solution in CoC in the first place.
So essentially Sanji is unlocking CoC where it's absolutely needed, as opposed to having unlocked it earlier.
Or having shown clear signs of it, rather than scopper checking sanji's stats page in the "player data" menu and seeing "hidden ability CoC" with a locked sign over it.
The actual idea surrounding sanji unlocking conquerors does make sense, because he has a wavering spirit and needs to gain certainty in himself. -
This could lead to people liking sanji more, but we all know he's just going to default back to what he is after this regardless, and this is more of a general distaste for Oda's handling of sanji's character or shounen comedy in general.
And it's really not just a more "hardcore manga reader" thing to dislike sanji, plenty of anime only's also dislike sanji's character. Especially in forum like these which only much more hardcore fans would ever visit, you get one piece haters who are losers who hate on the series but still read it every week, so really they hate themselves.
Anyway I already expected this, I even said sanji should become black leg sanji by using adv coc, because how else is he going to compete?, gimmicks can only take you so far.
You have to also take into the account of the fact that, the sanji vs zoro wars over the years, have led to people religiously picking a side, and now it's their personality, so they cannot not hate on zoro or sanji, it's just become a part of them.
Same thing with shanks and mihawk.
