It exists as much as the several rounds Luffy had with Kaido before being stomped. Two characters can appear comparable for several chapters only for the opponent to start actually putting in effort and low diff.

Loki looks fresh as can be going into the fight with Imu.

I mean you can make whatever excuses you want, but the end result is that Loki gets handled and knocked out seconds after Joyboy arrives, choose to think this is a coincidence if you want, but I won't.

This is Oda justifying Loki getting taken out by Imu(for now)

Your reasoning is not only your assumption and headcanon but just straight up false because the "excuses" you're talking about is what Oda wrote directly in the manga

You can't twist nerfed base/zoan Loki stalling Imu for multiple chapters and then 120% G5 Luffy getting low diffed into "Loki hypetool" agenda LMAO

Base Luffy was also clashing equally with Kaido, and in fact, overpowering him on multiple occasions, and yet Kaido then effortlessly dominated him afterwards.

Loki's endurance is good no doubt, though "tanking" is a bit much when he's clearly badly damaged from those couple attacks as Luffy commented.

We don't know that, Luffy can both get his ass kicked in one chapter and still look better, it all depends on what Imu uses and how he treats the fight, which none of us know the answer to yet.

Base Luffy only started equally clashing and stalling Kaido for more than 1 minute after the sky split and Kaido directly acknowledging Luffy as someone relative to him.

If anything Loki is closer to that for Imu than your hypothetical scarbads or 1010 Luffy.

not only that the old gen Admirals are MUCH weaker, like Kong and Roger literally said that only Sen Goku and Garp can handle the stronger People. now in the new gen Garp thought Kuzan is so strong that he will be the pillar of the Marines in the future, same Kuzan was was then beat by Akainu, and Kizaru was also implied by Oda to be on that lvl. that means the new gen does not have 2 People to face the strongest in the verse but 3. Kizaru obviously already proved that by casually clashing with G5
