Naruto’s tone and style is less believable on the big screen. I think it’s doomed to fail.

I would say Naruto easily beats out One Piece in international popularity especially during the 2000s to 2010s. Naruto has a whole theme park section opening in France this year at a theme park dedicated to popular European comics (mostly Belgian) like Marsupilami, Lucky Luke and the Smurfs.

A prequel movie (anime) about Naruto's childhood years would do wonders to revive interest in the franchise. It wouldn’t need too many action scenes; the drama alone would be more than enough to capture attention from audiences.
