General & Others Sanji getting conquerers haki and jinbe not having it is

Jinbei has the same problem than Sanji when it comes to CoC, they are too kind.. But Jinbei has the qualities of a Conqueror for sure..
Even if you die, don't die.. The foreshadowing for Jinbei to get CoC is stronger than Sanji(well pre Gaban), depends what Oda wants to do with him.. Would he really give 6 Strawhats CoC, cause when Yamato comes back that would be 5 CoC users already in the crew..

Hmm, well, I always felt Jinbei is more a born General then a born Supreme King. Granted, there are CoC users who are subordinates of other users, but I feel like Jinbei would have happily served Fisher Tiger if he never died, who seemed more likely to be a Supreme King.

No, it is late. You say it's not late narratively but it is. This is a shounen manga, and in this shounen manga the main characters achieve heights at such a heightened pace for the sake of retaining their youth throughout the story.

This is exactly why Oda said the timeskip was only 2 years, because Oda wanted to maintain Luffy's childlike personality for the story. Otherwise it would have been longer and more realistic in terms of time it takes to achieve that level of power. Same applies to Zoro and Sanji.

So when you factor that in, and the fact that we have seen conquerors since post time skip, yes it is late within this shounen narrative. It's also convenient and clearly planned because Scopper who is Sanji's parallel is giving the push he needs to awaken it.

This is precisely why Oda delayed it until now.

When you talk about in the story you're talking about his age, but of course it is going to not be late in terms of his literal age, but that is a no brainer.

Zoro will become the Worlds Strongest Swordsman in his very early 20's, against a seasoned 40+ year old veteran whose been living and breathing swordsmanship longer than Zoro has been alive.

It’s not really a late thing or not if it serves the narrative of the story, not some shonen formula. His journey to realize he has conqueror’s is the whole point.

That's an if for sure. With how it's playing out the goals are a bit hard to see

1. Even if Imu was preoccupied, beating the HK would take such a long time with so much effort that it's not something Ray or Gaban did.

2. Oda would have to lift his ban on killing. Sanji doesn't have to kill his man if Sommers dies, but again Oda is a bigger problem than the Straw Hats as characters here.

But neither of those things are relevant to Jinbe for me and either way I don't see a highschool wrestling meet vs the HK in the future.

Jinbe withstood big moms power cause he has a strong will, was a warlord who sanji could not defeate pre timeskip, met the whitebeard pirates saw them at their prime. Knows more about haki than sanji or zoro

When is Jinbe going to shine? or is he destined to be a background character after such a resume????

no Jinbe is not supposed to be stronger then sanji sanji is stronger then jinbe and equal to zoro ( by the time jinbe joined the strawhats in onigashima zoro and sanji surpassed him

Sanji has. Stronger will and the actual qualities of a king zorostans don’t give an actual reasoning for Sanji not having one besides them making up standards

Then robin defo has it, because oden could read glyphs and so can she, and oden has coc, so it must be true

and then chopper is the king of doctors so he has it, honestly choppers goal is way more kingly than finding the all blue.

franky defo has it too, because he's a robot cyborg and we saw a robot with coc already, even though it was joyboys, but that was a foreshadowing of a robot actually getting it

brook defo has it, because he's the king of the dead or whatever, and he's world renowned because of his concerts so thats a kingly quality, if scopper can say sanji has kingly qualities then i can say brook does.
