Anime Discussion Whats a genre that doesn’t get the respect it deserves

Been a while since ive posed a question but my question to you all is What is a genre of anime that doesn't get the respect it deserves and isnt as popular as you think it should be?

For me I'd say magical girl anime a lot of people see magical girl and think its an anime for children for little girls and sure maybe thats how it started out but ever since madoka Magica its gotten a lot darker and more mature

Anime like Fate/Kaleid Prisma Illya, black rock shoote, little witch Academia and one of my personal favorites Magical Girl Rising Project

Maho Shoujo, Mecha, and Historical genres are criminally underrated by tourists and larpers who jerks off to heavy action battle shounen.
